Meet Laurie
Greetings! I'm Laurie Covington-Lopez, affectionately known as the Venue Lady, and I am the heart and soul behind Royal Rancho Bookings – your trusted partner in curating extraordinary events. My journey began in the Mojave Desert, where I enjoyed a typical childhood filled with bike rides, rollerblading, and a passion for dance, particularly ballet. My love for the arts and design began in high school and has only grown over the years.
After art school, my diverse career path unfolded through various roles, from dance instructor to retail, housing director to personal assistant. Fate took a turn when I found myself at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm, a property in need of rejuvenation. What started as a New Year's Eve party for friends evolved into creating the first of many event venue spaces and managing over 40+ events a year. As I created more locations, I started to be known as the lady with all the venues, aka The Venue Lady.
Stepping into the world of luxury event management happened by nothing more than fate. What started as a volunteer position led to 40+ events a year. Under my guidance, we orchestrated opulent weddings, corporate extravaganzas, and high-profile shoots. Even after my time at the orchid farm, I continued managing events at Dos Pueblos Ranch where I continue to help them build a legacy of success.
In 2019, a new chapter unfolded as I partnered with Sylvia and Mike Molony to transform their private estate, Tuscan Hills, into a shareable haven. With a commitment to preserving the estate's charm, we have limited annual bookings, ensuring each event is a masterpiece. My deep-rooted relationships have created a network that makes events and weddings truly magical.
